India erupts in anguish on Pulwama attack, MEA names Pak: US, Russia condemn

New Delhi, Feb 14 (UNI) India on Thursday erupted in anguish against the terror attack Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir with Union Ministers and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat hinting at appropriate retaliation.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned this dastardly attack. "The sacrifices of our brave security personnel shall not go in vain. The entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the families of the brave martyrs. May the injured recover quickly," he tweeted.

Prime Minster spoke to Home Minister Rajnath Singh and other senior officials and took assessment of the situation in the wake of the attack.

Home Minister also spoke to the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Satya Pal Malik, DG CRPF and the Home Secretary.
Union Minister Arun Jaitley took to the micro blogging site and wrote that those responsible will be given 'unforgettable lesson' for their heinous act.
Rajnath Singh will be going to Srinagar on Friday while in Delhi, Prime Minister Modi will chair the meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Finance Minister Piyush Goyal will attend the meeting. The National Security Advisor Ajit Doval may also join the CCS meeting, sources said.
"We will do everything possible that ought to be done," Home Minister wrote in a series of tweets.
He also said entire country is united to give a befitting reply to the wrong doers.
At Nagpur, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat - "We expect action in response to this incident. We have tolerated a lot and are still doing so....They will get a reply".
His colleague Suresh Joshi said the attack reflects the frustration of terrorists over the steps taken to tighten the noose on those indulging in such acts.
In a strong worded statement, Ministry of External Affairs said the perpetrators of the offence Jaish-e-Mohammed, a Pakistan-based organisation, said - "This terror group is led by the international terrorist Masood Azhar, who has been given full freedom by Government of Pakistan to operate and expand his terror infrastructure in territories under the control of Pakistan".
"We strongly reiterate our appeal to all members of the international community to support the proposal to list terrorists, including JeM Chief Masood Azhar, as a designated terrorist under
the 1267 Sanctions Committee of the UN Security Council and to ban terrorist organisations operating from territories controlled by Pakistan," the MEA statement said.
Union Minister Jitendra Singh termed the dastardly attack on CRPF personnel as a desperate act by terrorists.
"Dastardly attack on CRPF personnel is a desperate act by terrorists on the run. While the entire nation stands with the Indian security forces, will this also be an eye opener for Kashmir-centric politicians who are always apologetic on such occasions," he tweeted.
Foreign missions and embassies operating from India on Thursday condemned the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir.
Ken Juster, the US Ambassador here, in his tweet said: "The U.S. Mission in India strongly condemns today’s terrorist attack in Jammu & Kashmir. We send our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims. The United States stands alongside India in confronting terror and defeating it".
The Russian embassy said, "We denounce terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and reiterate the need to combat these inhuman acts with decisive and collective response without any double standards".
