New Delhi, Mar 6 (UNI) One more suspect has tested positive for novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country, taking the total confirmed cases to 31.
The latest COVID-19 confirmed case, who has a travel history of Thailand and Malaysia, is in hospital quarantine and stable, official reports said.
Among the 31 confirmed cases in the country, were 16 Italian nationals visiting Rajasthan.
As per the latest advisory, all international passengers irrespective of nationality are mandated to undergo universal medical screening on arrival. Adequate screening measures have been set up and nine more airports added to the existing 21, bringing the total to 30 airports, as of today.
In addition, a day-long national level training on COVID-19 has been organised by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and WHO here Friday.
Health Secretary Preeti Sudan inaugurated the training programme, which is being attended by 280 health officials from all states, hospitals of railways, defence, and paramilitary forces. It was also virtually attended by 1,000 nodes across the country.
