India, Bangladesh to continue high level engagements among their leaders

New Delhi, Aug. 18 (UNI) India and Bangladesh have expressed satisfaction over regular high level engagements among the leaders of the two countries and hoped to meet on other forums as well.
Bangladesh Foreign Minister A.H. Mahmood Ali met External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj last evening after attending the cremation of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee here.
She appreciated the visit of her counterpart from Dhaka to attend the cremation.
External Affairs Minister also appreciated the gesture of Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina for her message of condolence. Both the Ministers recalled their association with Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Earlier, the Bangladesh Foreign Minister personally conveyed the deep condolences of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Bangladesh High Commissioner Syed Muazzem Ali accompanied the Foreign Minister both at the cremation and at the bilateral meeting.
