New Delhi, Sept 26 (UNI) With just 10 days to go for the first ever FIFA World Cup in the nation, All India Football Federation (AIFF) President Praful Patel believes the nation is 100 per cent ready to host the prestigious event. Patel also confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been formally invited to the FIFA U-17 World Cup opening match between India and the US on October 6 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Speaking to mediapersons, Patel said,"India is ready, we have 100 per cent readiness on infrastructure and the Indian national team is geared up to participate in the World Cup. The time of reckoning has come for Indian football and we are proud to announce the stage is set for the World Cup.” Speaking on the preparations of the team he elaborated, “We have also committed ourselves to build a fine competitive team. It has been an ongoing process for a long time. The scouting was in professional hands and we have put at least 3 years of hard work to build this team.
