Independent MLA R N CHAMLING advocates change in Govt

Gangtok, Oct 7 (UNI) Independent MLA from Yangang R N Chamling today said people of Sikkim
wants change in the ruling powers.
Addressing newsmen in the press club here, Mr Chamling said " With an appeal to public to
vote freely in favour of just and suitable person in the ensuing panchayat elections. Sikkim Janta
wants change in the ruling powers because It is the interest of the country."
"Panchayat elections are not a big affair. But have a great importance. The elections are very significant for the masses,” he said.
He alleged that “ ruling party have been using money and power and this tantamounts to destroying
democracy. The masses are capable of selecting their representatives but the government does not
give them any opportunity so the public should come forward and vote boldly.”
He also admitted that he differs with his brother C M Chamling on principles only.
He said, he was not satisfied with the reservation pattern adopted by the State Election
Commission.
He said, it is not proper to allot slot to minority population community. While the State
Government sources say it is to give social justice to public.
