Increase aid to those affected by rains: Patole

Aurangabad, August 11 (UNI) Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) President Nana Patole on Thursday warned that unless the state government gives substantial help to the victims of heavy rains the monsoon session will not be allowed to continue.
He was talking to reporters here during the Azadi Gaurav Padayatra organized by the MPCC on the occasion of the Azadi ka Amrit Mashotav.
He claimed that the aid announced by the Shinde-Fadnavis government to the victims of heavy rains in the state is not comforting but meager. "NDRF norms are old so it is necessary to give more if not double help. The aid announced by the state government is a slap in the face of the farmers and a mockery," he said.
