New Delhi, Dec 2 (UNI) The Central Government had informed the Supreme Court bench, headed by the Chief Justice of India (CJI) Nuthalapati Venkata Ramana that all the construction activities in Delhi by the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) have been halted except the Central Vista redevelopment which is a project of "national importance."
"All the construction activities in Delhi by the CPWD have been halted except the Central Vista redevelopment which is a project of national importance," the Solicitor General (SG) Tushar Mehta senior law officer representing the Central government today told the three-judge bench of the Apex Court.
The Supreme Court was hearing the Delhi-NCR pollution case as it it severe and has reached an emergency level.
