In next Five Year Plan, emphasis would be improving education & Health facilities: Min

Chandigarh, Sep 15 (UNI) Haryana Public Works and Forest Minister, Rao Narbir Singh said on Sunday that in the next Five-Year Plan, emphasis would be laid on improving education and health facilities in the state. He also informed that the Dwarka Expressway being constructed at a cost of about Rs 9000 crore would be elevated and made signal free. Besides this, City Forest and Leopard Safari in Sector 76, Gurugram would be developed on about 1000 acres. This project would also be completed in a year and would then become a tourist attraction.
The Minister was speaking during a function organized at the Patio Club in Gurugram.
He said that the Southern Peripheral Road (SPR), also known as the Golf Course Extension Road, would be made signal-free in the next one and a half year and the travel time from the airport to Faridabad via village Ghata would not be more than 30 minutes. He said that the proposal to make SPR signal free was approved in the meeting of Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA), held recently. According to Rao Narbir Singh, two flyovers and three underpasses would be constructed on SPR. Similarly, flyovers and underpasses would be constructed on the Central Peripheral Road (CPR). In total, 11 flyovers and underpasses would be constructed from Delhi-Jaipur highway (NH 48) to village Ghata chowk, at a cost of about Rs 550 crore to Rs 650 crore. Its Detailed Project Report (DPR) is being prepared by GMDA and its estimates would be approved after forming the government again after election.
