In death, 49-yr-old gives new lease of life to youth

Thane, Sep 12 (UNI) A team of cardiac specialists from Fortis Hospital on Tuesday successfully transplanted heart and lungs into a 23-year-old male from Jalana, Maharashtra.
The team was led by Dr Anvay Mulay, Director, CardioThoracic Surgery & Heart Transplant.
This feat became possible after the wife and family of a 49-yr-old male consented to donate his organs.

Mangaluru, Jan 21(UNI) Joint Commissioner Customs Joannes George said that, based on intelligence Customs Sleuths of MIA, intercepted one Ubaid Baliyath Azeez hailing from Madikeri and arrived from Dubai by Air India flight on Thursday
Officials said that on personal search the passenger was found to have concealed gold in paste form in Rectum. Gold 0.8 KG of 24k purity valued Rs 44.2 Lakh was recovered and seized.
