Imran Khan govt completes first year in office

Islamabad, Aug 18 (UNI) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government led by Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday completed its first year in office.
Mr Khan had pledged that once in government, it will carry out sweeping reforms for the country’s welfare.
However, of the total promises made by him in his election manifesto, only one has been completed, which is building a special task force to recover looted national wealth.
Out of total 51 things promised in PTI's election manifesto, 16 have not been even started including making a blueprint to resolve the Kashmir issue within the parameters of UNSC resolutions.
The PTI also claimed in its manifesto that it would expose the "links between active and passive (those who provide logistics support but are not part of the fighting force) terrorists and seek to win over the latter".
However, several accusations made against Pakistan for being safe heaven for terrorist organisations like Al-Qaeda, Lashkar-e-Omar, Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Sipah-e-Sahaba, Al Badr Mujahideen and Harkat ul Mujahideen, Imran Khan-led government has so far failed to deliver its promise.
