Implementation of welfare schemes is paramount to government: CM

Amaravati, June 24 (UNI) Asking district Collectors to work as per the aspirations of people and maintain transparency, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy made it clear that the implementation of welfare schemes is paramount to the government.
Addressing the two-day Collectors conference, being held in the Praja Vedika grievances hall here on Monday, the Chief Minister asked the Collectors and other top officials to treat election manifesto as sacred as the Bhagavat Geeta, Bible and the Quran and strive to fulfill all the assurances.
Ordering Collectors not to show discrimination while extending welfare scheme benefits, he said the benefits of welfare schemes should reach every household "irrespective" of their party affiliation. Every benefit of welfare scheme should be "door delivered", he told the Collectors.
