Illegal construction in RIMS campus result of corrupt system: Babulal Marandi

Ranchi, Dec 15 ( UNI ) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president and Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi today held the Hemant Soren-led state government responsible for the illegal construction that came up within the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) campus, terming it a direct outcome of a deeply entrenched corrupt system.
Reacting to the demolition drive being carried out following the directions of the High Court, Marandi said the court’s order to raze the illegal structures was justified and welcome. However, he questioned why the common people were being made to suffer for the failures and corruption of the government machinery.
He alleged that the illegal construction in the RIMS campus could not have taken place without the active involvement and protection of corrupt officials under the Hemant Soren government.
