IL&FS Engineering inks pact for Rs 675 cr road project in Bihar

Mumbai, Aug 1(UNI) IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Limited has signed an agreement with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) for execution of a road project that involves rehabilitation and upgradation of the Birpur-Bihpur Section (from km. 0.0 to km 106) of NH-106 in Bihar.
This road project comes under Phase-I of NHDP. The total value of the project, to be executed as an engineering, procurement, and construction contract, is Rs. 675 crore.
IL&FS Engineering Services received the Letter of Acceptance from Ministry of Road Transport and Highways in December 2015, and the agreement was inked on July 29, 2016. The duration of the project is 36 months. The signing of this agreement now paves the way for immediate start of the project.
The infrastructure company is currently executing a road project for National Highways Authority of India that involves Four Laning of Patna Gaya Dobhi Section of NH-83 from km 0.000 to km 127.217 in Bihar. The project is worth Rs. 1,232 crore.
