IKEA introduces 365-day exchange & return policy

Bengaluru, Sep 16 (UNI) IKEA, a leading name in home furnishings, on Monday introduced a new 365-day exchange and return policy to enhance customer convenience and satisfaction.
This policy allows customers to exchange or return products, including home furniture and accessories, whether they are still in their original packaging or already assembled.
This flexibility enables customers to test items at home for fit, comfort, and functionality.
The policy is straightforward, offering options to return or exchange products either in-store or via home collection services, regardless of where the purchase was made. This level of flexibility is rare in the industry and aims to set IKEA apart by addressing customers' needs for ease and satisfaction.
For IKEA Family members, the policy includes additional benefits, such as free replacements for items damaged during self-delivery or self-assembly within 14 days.
Adosh Sharma, IKEA India's Country Commercial Manager, emphasised that this initiative aligns with IKEA's long-standing commitment to high-quality, durable products that improve daily life. The goal is to make the process of finding and returning the right product as smooth as possible, thus enhancing overall customer satisfaction.
Customers can return or exchange items within a year from the purchase or delivery date with proof of purchase. The policy also includes an extended return period for mattresses, As-Is products, and meter fabrics, allowing ample time to test these items at home.
Aleksandra Shestakova, Country Customer Manager for IKEA India, highlighted that this new policy transforms the shopping experience by providing customers with the flexibility to make confident decisions about their purchases. This initiative reflects IKEA India's commitment to quality assurance and customer trust.
IKEA continues to strengthen its presence in India, aiming to become the preferred omnichannel home furnishings retailer. The company is expanding its reach through online platforms and physical stores in major cities, while also investing in various aspects of its operations in India.
