New Delhi, Nov 18 (UNI) Highlighting the latest trends of e-biz, the India International Trade Fair (IITF) is open for all visitors from Sunday till November 27 from 0930 hrs to 1930 hrs daily.
The 38th edition of IITF at the Pragati Maidan here was inaugurated by Commerce and Industry Minister C R Chaudhary along with Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma on November 14.
The India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) has earmarked initial four days -- November 14-17 -- for the business visitors.
There is no sale of entry tickets at Pragati Maidan Gates and the visitors are advised to cooperate and plan their visit by purchasing tickets in advance from their originating Metro Stations and online Bookingshow.com, so as to avoid any inconvenience, according to an official statement here.
This year, ITPO is carrying out the redevelopment plan of Pragati Maidan due to which the IITF’2018 has been organised in about 22 per cent of the area in Halls 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 12A.
There will be online ticket booking as well as sale of Entry Tickets at 66 select Metro stations except Pragati Maidan Metro Station.
To ensure smooth flow and convenience of the public in a limits space during the IITF’ 2018, the total sale of tickets has been capped to around 25,000 per day.
There will be free entry for senior citizens and differently-abled persons on presentation of valid relevant documents with photo thereon from all the gates of Pragati Maidan from November 18 to 27 but the attendants to such persons will have to purchase tickets.
With a view to providing a hassle- free visit of the fair, 50 per cent of the tickets will be sold in advance while rest of the tickets can be purchased by the visitors on the same day from 66 metro stations.
Ticket charges on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday per adult will be Rs 120 and child Rs 60 while for working days, tthey will be Rs 60 and Rs 40 respectively.
This year, entry of the visitors will be facilitated through only three Gates -- Gate No.1 (on Bhairon Road), Gate No 8 (on Mathura Road) and Gate No 10 (Pragati Maidan Metro Station).
There is no parking inside Pragati Maidan. Paid parking is available at Bhairon Road for exhibitors and visitors. For the Convenience of visitors and exhibitors, shuttle service between Bhairon Mandir Parking to Gate No 1 will be available.
Apart from dedicated Post Office, Banks and ATMs, other facilities include Media Centre, Protocol and helpage Counter for ‘Divyang’ persons with wheelchairs.
