IIT-K approves 2 new depts in fields of Design, & Space Science and Astronomy

Kanpur, Jan 16 (UNI) Two steps towards innovation! . The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur(IIT-K) has approved setting up two new departments in the fields of Design, and Space Science and Astronomy, taking the total tally to 20 academic departments.

The decision was taken on the Board of Governors meeting on January 12 last to approve a proposal for transforming the existing Design Programme into a full-fledged Department and setting up a new Department of Space Science and Astronomy devoted to the broad field of Space, Planetary, Astronomical Sciences and Engineering.
