IIT-Hyderabad invites applications for short term course on ‘non-local mechanics'

Hyderabad, Dec 9 (UNI) Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT-H) is inviting applications for a Short Term Course on ‘Non-local Mechanics Approaches for Modeling Localized Deformations’ to be held here from Feb 19 to 21 here.
The last date for apply is Dec 15 , the Institute said in a release here on Monday.
This course will provide an overview of modelling approaches used in the mechanics of elastic and inelastic materials and structures, with special attention to the objective description of highly localized deformation modes such as damage, fracture, and shear bands.
