IIT-H to hold ISSC 2020 from Mar 25

Hyderabad, Jan 22 (UNI) Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT-H) will conduct a three-day ‘Indian Structural Steel Conference (ISSC)’ 2020 from March 25.
The ISSC 2020 is a unique International conference covering various fields of steel structures, PEB Buildings, sustainable materials, high strength steel, cold-formed steel structures, natural composites, renewable materials, structural assessment, Composite construction and rehabilitation of structures, Conference Organising Secretary and IIT-Hyderabad Department of Civil Engineering Associate Professor, Dr Mahendra Kumar Madhavan said in a release here on Wednesday.
Highlighting the importance of the Conference, he said ''it is focused on creating a forum where researchers and industrial experts having explicit backgrounds but encountering similar challenges on infrastructural development, joining together, to discuss and disseminate the most recent advances in the analysis, behavior, design, and construction of structural steel.”

ICAR-CIBA develops indigenous product to curb bacterial disease in shrimp hatcheries

was posing a major threat to shrimp seed production, the
ICAR-Central Institute of Brackishwater Aquaculture (CIBA)
has developed a bacteriophage-based product that was
effective in biocontrol of the bacterial diseases in shrimp
hatchery settings.

Alleppey District Admn gets 'Ozone Generator' to fight COVID

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 21 (UNI) In view of rising number of COVID cases in Kerala, an 'Ozone Generator,' which can eliminate germs in closed environment, has been handed over to the Alleppey District Administration by the UAE-Based Aries Group of Companies on Monday
This was the first Ozone Generator named 'Wolf Ozone Protektion' sponsored in the State by the Aries Group as part of its CSR initiatives, a press release said.
