IIT Bhubaneswar, CSIR-CBRI join hands to boost research & innovation in sustainable infrastructure

Bhubaneswar, June 16 (UNI) Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the CSIR–Central Building Research Institute (CSIR-CBRI), Roorkee, to strengthen collaborative research, academic exchange and innovation in building science, civil engineering, sustainable infrastructure and related disciplines.
The MoU was signed on Monday by Prof. Shreepad Karmalkar, Director of IIT Bhubaneswar, and Prof. R. Pradeep Kumar, Director of CSIR-CBRI.
The collaboration seeks to combine the expertise and resources of both institutions to advance research and develop skilled manpower in areas including structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, architecture and planning, environmental engineering, disaster mitigation and sustainable construction technologies.

Bengal woman alleges she lost leg after treatment at 'Sebashray'; complaint filed against Abhishek Banerjee

Kolkata, July 10 (UNI) A woman from West Bengal's South 24-Parganas district has lodged a police complaint against Diamond Harbour MP Abhishek Banerjee and 10 others alleging that negligent treatment at a “Sebashray” medical camp supported by them, led to the amputation of one of her legs.

Arunachal: ANSU seeks White Paper on Frontier Highway compensation payouts

Itanagar, July 10 (UNI) The All Nyishi Students' union (ANSU) has urged the Arunachal Pradesh government to publish a comprehensive White Paper on land compensation disbursed under the Frontier Highway Project in Kurung Kumey, Kra Daadi and East Kameng districts, citing the need for greater transparency and accountability in the implementation of the strategically important road project.

Monsoon colonial birds flock to Bhitarkanika for annual nesting season
