IFS Vikas Swarup appointed as secretary CVP&OIA from Aug 1

New Delhi , Jul 12 (UNI) The appointments committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Indian Foreign Services officer Vikas Swarup, High Commissioner in Ottawa, as the Secretary in the Consular, Visa Passport and Overseas Indian Affairs (CPV&OIA) division in Ministry of External Affairs with effect from August 1 , an official statement said here.
Mr Sawrup, Indian Foreign Service officer of 1986 batch) High Commissioner in Ottawa, will replace senior diplomat Sanjiv Arora, former envoy to Lebanon.
