If Modi isn’t voted out of power this time, Constitution will break down: Mamata

If Modi isn’t voted out of power this time, Constitution will break down: Mamata

Onda/Panskura (Bengal), May 20 (UNI) If Modi isn’t voted out of power this time, the Constitution will break down, asserted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday.
Addressing election rallies, Banerjee said, " We will go to Delhi and get NRC-CAA-UCC removed along with resuming MGNREGA work. "
" I have never seen an insolent party [such as the BJP] before that does not even extend the
bare minimum political courtesy to its opponents, " she added.
" Sometimes, they state that the minority community will snatch away the reservation of the scheduled communities. Why? Our minority brothers and sisters will never do this. Nobody
can take away the reservation of the Tapashilis because it is a constitutional right, " she averred.
Referring to the recent Mission incident, Banerjee said, " I am not against Ramakrishna Mission. How could I be against an institution or disrespect them? A few days ago, when Maharaj was unwell, I went to visit him. I only spoke about one or two people. Bharat Sevashram Sangha has its ashram in Gangasagar; we share good relations with them and I appreciate their work for the people. "
" I took the name of one person – Kartik Maharaj – who did not allow Trinamool Congress agent. He was also responsible for the violence that rocked Murshidabad’s Rejinagar two days before the polls. That is what I had flagged. He was earlier associated with Adhir (Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury) and is now with the BJP. I have no opposition to his ashram there. But when I asked why that area had no AITC agents, I was told that Kartik Maharaj said they wouldn’t allow Trinamool’s agents there. They even threatened a few people there, who run a dairy business, " she said.
"He is doing BJP in the name of religion across different areas. I don’t have an issue with him
engaging in political activities for the BJP but she should wear BJP’s party symbol on his chest and not from behind the curtains. This is what I had said – and I do not speak without
evidence, " she alleged. UNI PC-SJC SSP
