Lucknow, Feb 2 (UNI) Idea Cellular, one of the prominent telecom operator of the country, today launched the world class 4G services in Uttar Pradesh (East) with starting the new facility in Lucknow and Kanpur cities. The company will cover 4G services in Varanasi and Allahabad within a month time and in total will cover 23 cities of the state by March next. On the occasion Idea also unveiled the Digital Idea, a suite of digital application for the on-the-move consumers of UP. As part of the digital Idea offerings, the company will offer a suite of 3 entertainment apps.-- Idea Music lounge, Idea Movie Club and Idea Game Spark for its over one crores customers in UP (east) circle. Launching the new 4G service, Idea Cellular COO- Corporate Anish Roy said here that Idea has consistently invested in network expansion to become a pan-India wireless broadband operator, to serve over 200 million customers for the digital era." Over the last one year, Idea has more than doubled its mobile broadband network on 3G/4G platform and now covers over 50 per cent of the country's population," Roy claimed. Chief Operating Officer, UP(East), Sanjay David of Idea Cellular during the change over from 3G to 4G by the consumers, they will be provided complimentary 4G SIM card along with special promotional offer of 4G free data valid for 14 days.
