ICMR gives suggestion for COVID Management in Pondy

Puducherry, Oct 29 (UNI) Scientists from Indian Council Of Medical Research (ICMR) has suggested that positivity rate in respect of RT-PCR tests needs to be further reduced in the Union Territory and the test be done in more number by identifying source of infection and pockets of spread.

Lt Governor Kiran Bedi in a social media post on Thursday said that the scientists Dr Prabhdeep Kaur and Dr Ganesh who participated in a briefing to the LG suggested that case analysis of positive needs to be done to identify the source of infection and the link to school, industry ,workplace or any new openings like cinema/bars etc. With the tapering down of the number of positive cases, tracing of secondary /extended contact to be strengthened so as to prevent formation of any cluster, they said.
