ICFAI School of Architecture launches B Arch program in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Jan 11 (UNI) ICFAI School of Architecture (ISArch), a constituent of ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, Hyderabad launched five year campus based B Arch Program at a programme held in a private hotel here on Friday night.

Speaking on the occasion, ICFAI Vice Chancellor Prof J Mahender Reddy said “Students pursuing B.Arch Program of the ICFAI School of Architecture (ISArch), have to undergo one full semester of unique Internship Program in final year at various companies in India. ISArch curriculum includes summer internships in all nine semesters which will help the students develop skills in architecture and its allied areas”.

He said that from this academic year onwards ISArch will offer a 5-year, full-time, campus based Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) Program, which would groom and develop innovative and modern Architects for India and abroad.

Speaking on eligibility for admission into B.Arch Program, Prof Reddy said that students securing 50 per cent aggregate in 10+2 examination or its equivalent with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry as subjects are eligible to apply. In addition Pass in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture (COA) are eligible, he said.

Talking to media on the sidelines of the programme, ICFAI Group Director-Branding Sudhakar Rao said that this is first school in the fold of ICFAI Group. ICFAI presents three and half decades of the innovative programmes starting from Management, Engineering, Law and now into Architecture.
