ICC Test Rankings: Rahul, Dhawan advance, Jadeja slips

Dubai, Aug 15 (UNI) With a 3-0 series win against Sri Lanka, the Indian cricketers including openers Shikhar Dhawan and Lokesh Rahul have moved ahead in the latest ICC Test Player Rankings released. Riding on his ton of 119 in the last test, Dhawan scooted ahead 10 places to 28th rank. With commendable performance from KL Rahul saw him move up two positions to equal his career-best ninth position. All rounder Hardik Pandya moved ahead 45 spots to his career best 68th ranking. Among the bowlers Mohammad Shami moved up one place to 19th position and Umesh Yadav gained one place up to a career- best 21st rank. Chinaman Kuldeep Yadav rocketed 29 slots to 58th place after returning with four for 40 and one for 56. All rounder Ravindra Jadeja however, conceded the top spot to Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hassan after sitting out the last test due to suspension. The number one test team India secured two points to accumulate 125 points and leading ahead of South Africa by 15 points. UNI XC-RSD SDR 1548
