ICC eyes Ahmedabad, Kolkata for T20 2026 semifinals

Bengaluru, Nov 9 (UNI) The International Cricket Council (ICC) has shortlisted Ahmedabad and Kolkata as potential hosts for the semifinals of the 2026 T20 World Cup, which will be jointly organised by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC).
A total of eight venues have been selected for the tournament.
According to reports, five Indian cities – Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai – have been shortlisted. Sri Lanka will host matches at three venues, including two in Colombo and one in Kandy. The venue for the final is yet to be finalised and will depend on which teams qualify for the championship match.
