New Delhi, Aug 1 (UNI) Felicitations and praises continues to pour in on the new women heroes of the nations after their outstanding show in the just concluded ICC Women's World Cup. After BCCI, various Ministries and individuals, the Air Force today honoured the India women team's all-rounder Shikha Pandey, who played a crucial role in the side's road to mega-finals in London. In a function at the Air Headquarters here, Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa PVSM AVSM YSM VM ADC felicitated Shikha. The 28-year-old, who is the first lady officer from the Services to represent the Indian Cricket team, was commissioned in Indian Air Force (IAF) on June 30, 2012 as an Air Traffic Control Officer. Flt Lt Shikha Pandey was awarded Chief of the Air Staff Commendation by the Chief of the Air Staff, who during the occasion appreciated her performance and wished her success for future endeavours.
