New Delhi, Aug 15 (UNI) Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy CM Manish Sisodia on Saturday greeted the nation on the occasion of 74th Independence Day and paid their tributes to the freedom fighters.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, the CM said,"Salute to the brave martyrs of the country whose immortal sacrifices made it possible for us to breathe in free atmosphere. I wish all the countrymen Happy Independence Day. Jai Hind."
"On this # Independence Day, let us pledge to build India that is the India of the dreams of our immortal martyrs," Mr Kejriwal added.
Mr Sisodia said, "Warm greetings and wishes to the citizens on the 74th Independence Day. Let us take a pledge on this occasion that we will make the nation more prosperous by giving respect and education to every son and daughter of our Mother India."
"I pay my humble respects to the martyrs who have given their independence and protected our freedom by sacrificing their lives," Mr Sisodia added.
