Hyderabad, Oct 7 (UNI) About 25 unique items and artifacts donated by members of SKAL International, an organisation of tourism and travel professionals, were auctioned here on Saturday.

People place their bids on sheets of bid papers placed in front of the items that included Trojan Horse, a huge hollow wooden horse constructed by the Greeks to gain entrance into Troy during the Trojan War, Hittite Sun, a decorative design bowl, a symbol of Anatolian civilization, an African mask carving from Nigeria.
The marvel pieces were donated SKAL members of Turkey, Australia, Finland, Nigeria, Finland. The proceeds of bid collection would be used for the good cause taken up by the SKAL.
“Nearly 25,000 US Dollars is expected to be raised from the silent auction”, the organizers said.
The aution, which closes on Sunday, took place at the ongoing the 78th SKAL World Congress being held at the international convention centre.

The auction bids will be closed by the end of the four day SKAL Congress on Sunday.
Besides the items, there were some tour packages.
