Hyderabad, Dec 6 (UNI) The Hyderabad encounter, in which four accused involved in the gang rape and murder of young veterinarian Disha was killed would be the second encounter in respect of women’s modesty after similar one held in Warangal in 2008 in United Andhra Pradesh.
Incidentally, Mr V C Sajjanar, who is now the Commissioner of Police for Cyberabad, when the incident occurred, was the then Superintendent of police of Warangal district.
In December 2008, the AP police gunned down three men accused of throwing acid on two women engineering students. The arrests were made 48 hours after the attack on the students and the encounter happened within days.
