Hyderabad, May 19 (UNI) The National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management (NITHM) on Tuesday organised a one-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Trends in Tourism & Hospitality Sector – Technology Competency Enhancement” at its Hyderabad campus.
The programme was conducted under the Telangana government’s “99-Day Prajapalana” initiative aimed at promoting knowledge enhancement, innovation, skill development and institutional excellence.
More than 30 faculty members, researchers, tourism professionals and hospitality educators from different institutions participated in the event.
The FDP focused on emerging trends transforming the tourism and hospitality industry through technology, digital innovation, sustainability and artificial intelligence (AI), while also helping educators understand changing industry expectations and future-ready curriculum approaches.
