Hyd: HETC Foods launches ‘ Navdhan’ brand sprouted Millet powders with nutritional benefit

Hyderabad, Dec 15 (UNI) HETC Foods Private Limited today announced the launch of its new-age food brand “Navdhan”, a range of scientifically processed sprouted millet powder with nutritional benefit.
Addressing a press here, the company Co-Founders Sai Srinivas Vavilala and Srinivas Garimella, said Navdhan aims to make millet consumption easy, scalable, and sustainable.
Currently, the products are available in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, soon they will be made available across India, they informed.
Navdhan’s primary manufacturing facility is located on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada Highway at Dandumalkapur, within a Nutrient MSME cluster, they said the plant currently processes 2 tonnes per day, with plans to scale based on demand.
The company has invested Rs 18–20 crore in setting up the infrastructure and R&D-driven manufacturing process, they informed.
“Millets are rich in calcium, iron, and other minerals, but without the right processing, the body cannot absorb them,” they said.
“From drying to packaging, the product is vacuum-transferred and never touched by human hands,” the founders said. “This allows us to promise a level of hygiene that very few food manufacturers in India can match.”
At launch, Navdhan is offering sprouted bajra, jowar, and ragi floss, available in multiple pack sizes. The products are currently sold through: Amazon, other major e-commerce platforms and on the company’s website, they inforemd.
Retail expansion across India is planned in the coming months. Future product lines will include mixed millets and texturised millet products, they said.
With India producing nearly 70 million tonnes of millets annually, compared to over 140 million tonnes of rice, Navdhan believes the industry is nearing a tipping point, they said.
“We want to run this as a campaign, not just a business,” the founders said. “Our goal is to industrialize millet processing, improve bioavailability, and eventually build region-specific factories closer to where each millet is grown—Rajasthan, Gujarat, Karnataka, and Maharashtra.”
Navdhan also plans to work with tribal farmers in the Godavari region (Andhra Pradesh) and gradually integrate sustainability practices into its operations, they added.
