Hunter Biden pardon deals new blow to democrats after election victory of Trump

Washington, Dec 3 (UNI) Outgoing US President Joe Biden’s decision to pardon his son, Hunter, has dealt another blow to the Democratic Party as it struggles to recover following Donald Trump’s presidential victory, the Financial Times newspaper reported on Tuesday.
Several lawmakers from the Democratic Party criticized Biden's decision to use his power to spare Hunter from prosecution for any crimes committed over the past decade when they returned to Washington after the Thanksgiving break, the report said.
Democrats worry that Biden's actions are undermining their ability to challenge Trump's threats to the rule of law and make the party appear hypocritical, especially given the president's multiple statements that he would not grant a pardon to his son, the newspaper reported.
