Human rights bodies appeal to Manipur government not to station troops in educational institutes

Imphal, Nov 1 (UNI) Eight human rights groups and civil societies have expressed concern over the numbers of Central Paramilitary Forces (CMPFs) and Army being transported and airlifted to Manipur and such a sudden spite in the number of military presence in the already militarized Manipur is highly alarming it said in a memorandum to the Chief Minister N Biren Singh today.
It added that it is distressing that the Central Para-Military Forces are stationed inside the campuses of Modern College, Maharaja Bodhachandra College,D.M.
