Huge quantity of foreign liquor recovered

Patna, Jan 23 (UNI) Police recovered huge quantity of foreign liquor from Vaishali and Samastipur districts during the last 24 hours.
A report from Samastipur said that raid was conducted at a hide-out in Purushottampur village, leading to recovery of 22 cartons of foreign liquor from there today. No one could be arrested as those engaged in liquor trade managed to escape from the spot before police reached for operation, police stated.
In a similar operation in Vaishali district, 85 cartons of foreign liquor were recovered from Izra village under Town police station area last night. On the basis of suspicion, a vehicle was intercepted and liquor was recovered when it was searched, police said, adding that no one could be arrested in the operation.
