Huge potential in the Chinese market for startups, small exporters: FIEO

Hyderabad, Apr 14 (UNI) The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) sees huge potential in the Chinese market for startups and small exporters.
In order to help and promote exports to the region, FIEO will be participating in the 25th China Import Export Fair, to be held in Kunming Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Centre from June 14 to 20, 2018, a FIEO statement here said on Saturday.
India’s exports to China have registered a sharp increase of over 53 per cent and reached a total of USD 1.24Billion during the year 2017. Indian Exports that is having a huge potential are Organic Chemicals, Textiles and Garments, Silks, Food Products, Granites, Minerals, Medical Device and Pharmaceuticals, Ayurvedic Products, Jewellery, Decorations, Handicrafts, Software’s, Tourism, Apparatuses, Building Materials, etc. China has started liberalizing its Import rules and regulations off late and this has helped boost Indian Exports due to the Geographical location of the country, low level of costs incurred for logistics and the availability of numerous export opportunities to China.
With new trade restrictions being imposed by the United States and by developed nations, it is time for the Indian Exporters to look for opportunities that are closer to home and the China-South Asia Expo cannot have come at a better time with huge opportunities available for the exporters to explore. The expo will be open to B2B as well as B2C, giving the exporters a chance to directly sell their products to Chinese consumers. FIEO will be setting up an Indian Pavilion at the Exhibition and will provide stalls to small exporters at concessional rates.
