Huge gold seizure at Karipur airport

Kozhikode, Jul 23 (UNI) The customs officials of Karipur airport here on Tuesday seized smuggled gold worth Rs 2.50 crores in the open market.
According to sources, the air customs had confiscated smuggled gold from three passengers, who landed at the airport.
According to customs officials the total seizure of gold is about 6.5 kilograms. The three passengers, who tried to smuggle the yellow metal from Middle East to Kozhikode were Muhammed of Malappuram, Panthallor-native Ummer and Nishad,Kunnamangalam.
The customs is investigating the links between the three and the mastermind behind the smuggling
