Huge cash seized ahead of by election to Kishanganj assembly constituency

Kishanganj, Oct 19 (UNI) Two days ahead of polling of votes for by-election to Kishanganj assembly constituency, huge cash was seized from a car on National Highway 31 at Faringola check post in the district today.

Sub-divisional officer Shahnabaz Ahmed Niyazi said here that currency notes worth more than Rs 6.38 lakh were seized from the car during checking of vehicles being carried out in view of by election to Kishanganj assembly constituency.

Patna, Apr 19 (UNI) Despite best efforts made by Election Commission and appeals from top leaders and celebrities, poll percentage in first phase of Lok Sabha elections in Bihar could reach only 48.23 per cent, which is 5.24 per cent less than polling of 2019 general elections in the state.
