Huge cache of arms and explosives recovered in Palamu

Daltonganj, Dec 19 (UNI) In a joint operation by the Police and the CRPF personnel a huge cache of arms and explosives including IEDs was recovered from the bordering areas of the Jharkhand and Bihar today.
Palamu SP Inderjeet Mahtha said the joint operation was led by Palamu and Gaya Police alongwith the jawans of the 134th battalion of CRPF and Cobra’s 205 battalion. Mr Mahtha said that police had received information regarding movement of the Maoists in bordering police station areas of Palamu and Gaya district.
He said following the information a search and combing operation was launched in the area during which 27 pieces of IEDs, a live grenade, a walkie-talkie, couple of uniforms, four kgs of urea, items used in bomb making, empty cans and other items were recovered.
