HSIIDC for the development of MRTS from Gurugram to Rewari

Chandigarh, Dec 30 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar today assured to consider the compensation-related demands of the owners of the land in Rewari district earmarked for acquisition by Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) for the development of Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS Corridor) from Gurugram to Rewari.
However, he clarified that in case the demands of the land owners were found to be unreasonable, the Government may consider scrapping the whole project by cancelling the acquisition process.
The Chief Minister was presiding over a review meeting held here today. Land measuring about 254 acres was notified by the State Government under the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 in Rewari district, and the award of this land is soon to be announced. The Haryana Government is undertaking acquisition of 465 acres from City Centre, Gurugram to Bawal, district Rewari.
