HRTC launches bus service across Rohtang tunnel

Shimla, Nov 16(UNI) Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation on Saturday launched a bus service to ply on the all weather tunnel during snow season across Rohtang Pass.
Talking to UNI Subdivisional Magistrate Manali Raman Garsinghi said that first such HRTC service carrying 43 passenger launched from Manali to Solsng Nalah, entered in under construction all weather Rohatang Pass Tunnel at 1230 hrs from South portal and alighted the passenger at North Portal or end of the tunnel.
Mr Garsinghi, who accompanied the passengers,further said that this arrangement was done as Manali-Rohtang Pass-Keylong Highway would declared off by the Border Road Organisation from November 15 till the next Summer, for five months.
