New Delhi, Jul 9 (UNI) Terming as a "one-time measure" the deletion of several chapters from the syllabus of Higher Secondary classes, Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' on Thursday dismissed reactions to the move as building "a concocted narrative".
Stating that "there has been a lot of uninformed commentary on the exclusion of some topics from CBSE syllabus", the Minister responded to criticism from some quaters on the move, saying that the problem with these comments was that "they resort to sensationalism by connecting topics selectively to portray a false narrative".
"Exclusions are a 1-time measure for exams due to COVID-19. While it's easy to misconstrue exclusion of 3-4 topics like nationalism, local govt, federalism & build a concocted narrative, a wider perusal of different subjects will show that this is happening across subjects," Mr Pokhriyal said in a tweet.
