HRCPS urges candidates to give promise

Puducherry, Mar 21 (UNI) The Puducherry based Human Rights and Consumer Protection Society (HRCPS) on Thursday urged political party candidates contesting the Lok Sabha elections to give a promise to the people that they would resign if the promises given to the people could not be fulfilled within an year.
HRCPS general secretary Muruganandam in a statement said the important problems Puducherry is facing are statehood, waiver of its loans and its inclusion in the central finance commission.
These could be resolved only by a government elected at the centre. The congress and N R Congress, though they had chance to press this failed. However, on every elections the parties besides, AIADMK and DMK are giving this promise to the people including it in their election manifesto.
