New Delhi, Oct 18 (UNI) The Congress on Wednesday released it's first list of candidates for the November 9, Assembly election in Himachal Pradesh with Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh contesting from Arki and AICC secretary Asha Kumar from Dalhousie. The list, approved by the Central election committee of the Congress and released by AICC general secretary Oscar Fernandez, also includes names of senior Congress leader Viplov Thakur from Debra, Mr G S Bali from Nagrota and Rajinder Rana from Sujanpur. State Congress chief Sukhvinder Singh Sukkhu has been fielded from the Nadaun Assembly seat, while Mr Kaul Singh Thakur will contest from Darang. Mr Mukesh Agnihotri and Gangu Ram Musafir will contest from Haroli and Pachchad respectively. Mr Kamal Kishor will contest from Indora while Pawan Kajal has been fielded from Kangra. NeerajNayyar has been fielded from Dharamshala while Sudhir Sharma will contest from Dharamshala and Kuldip Pathania will contest from Hamirpur. The list was finalised after a marathon meeting of the Congress central election committee chaired by party president Sonia Gandhi. Nominees for the rest nine seats, including Shimla (rural), would be announced later. Election to the 68 member state assembly is scheduled for November 9. UNI AR JW2328
