HP govt working on war footing to combat COVID: Health Secy

Shimla, Nov 27 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Government, facing an expected sudden spike of COVID cases, is trying to develop infrastructure on the war footing to meet with this extraordinary situation, Secretary Health Amitav Avasthi said here on Friday.
Stating his here today in a press briefing, the Health Secretary said that they are trying to augment the health infrastructure and requisite staff after recording highest covid positivity rate in the country in recent days which has threatened to overburden its hospitals.
The state populated district having high positivity rate required special attention during coming two weeks as it is very crucials and after that positivity rate would expected to come down. The state is not only expectations as the cases also registered sudden spike in Punjab, Haryana and small states like Goa and Pudicharry, he said.
