HP: Forest, PWD lock horns over FCA clearance

Nahan, May 27 (UNI) The Forest and Public Work Department in Himachal Pradesh have locked horns over the construction of a double-lane bridge being constructed on Giri river in Sirmaur district.
The PWD department was constructing a bridge at a cost of Rs 13 crore to link Dadahu area of Sirmaur to Renuka, which the Forest Department stopped, stating that prior approval of FCA clearance was not obtained for the same.
DFO Dadhu Sudershi Thakur said that before taking action, the Forest department had made repeated correspondence with the Public Works Department, directing them to seek FCA clearance before going ahead with the project.
