Shimla, Aug 10 (UNI) Many places of Himachal Pradesh were lashed by heavy downpour during the last 24 hrs as South West Monsoon remained active in the state, state Met Office said on Monday.
As many as 141 roads were damaged or blocked due to landslides occurred due to heavy rainfall. Of these, 101 would be cleared by Tuesday morning or 1000 hrs, while rest 30 will be repaired by Wednesday. State also suffered loss of revenue around Rs 13450.85 lakh due to rainfall in the state to public properties alone.
Naina Devi in Bilaspur witnessed 161 mm rainfall, followed by Gaggal in Kangra 156 mm, Paonta Sahib in Sirmaur 120 mm, Jogindernagar in Mandi 108 mm, Palampur in Kangra 72 mm, Baijnath in Kangra 68 mm, Dharamshala 52 mm, Kothi in Kullu 51 mm, Ghamroor in Kangra 49 mm.
