HP: CPI(M) opposes proposed airport in Balh

Mandi, Jan 27 (UNI) Communist Party of India Marxist Mandi District Committee stated Friday that it would oppose the construction of airport at Balh area of Mandi district as it would displace number of farmers from their fertile agriculture land .
This was stated by former MLA Rakesh Singha who was presiding party state committee meeting at Com. Tara Chand Bhawan Mandi,Friday. He said party in principle did not oppose construction of Mandi Airport but Government must change the site of Airport and party is with farmers to seek this demand.
He welcomed the decision of restoration of old pension of the employees by the new government formed in the state and demanded the government to take immediate steps to reduce the increasing unemployment in the state and improving the functioning of the Service Selection Board Hamirpur for a long time.
