HP Congress says 'no dearth of issues' for winter session

Shimla, Dec 6 (UNI) Winter session of Himachal Pradesh Assembly starting on Monday at Tapovan Vidhan Sabha complex is likely to be stormy as Congress said that it did not have 'dearth of issues' this session.
Himachal Pradesh legislative Assembly would be in session from December 9 to 14 at Tapovan near Dharmshala for the winter session.
Ruling BJP and Opposition Congress are going to chalk out their respective floor strategies and issues during their party legislative meeting at Dharmshala on December 8.
Congress Legislative party leader Mukesh Agnihotri told UNI that CLP meeting was convened on Decemer 8 at Dhauladhar hotel at 2000 hrs.
The ruling BJP party had also convened BLP meeting on December 8 at 1900 hrs at Committee Room in Dharmshala Mini-Secretariat building.
Mr Agnihotri said that party would discuss about the issues to be raised during the winter session in the CLP meeting, adding that the Congress had no dearth of issues to raise in the session. He did not deny that session could be stormy.
A few new legislation would be bring by the ruling BJP as the Assembly would be in session for six days.
According to Vidhan Sabha Secretariat, as about 302 starred and 94 unstarred querries were already scheduled for the session.
The Opposition would raise number of issues through Vidhan Sabha question hours.
During the assembly session Global Investor meet, employment avenues given by the government to the outsider or non-Himachali youth, revenue exemption to the builders lobby, Himachal on Sale, Supply of substandard uniform to the schools students, letter Bombs which exposed the supply of adulterated and substandard medicine in the state Hospital are the issues to which the state government has to answer in the session.
While 'rising graph of crime, rape and drug abuses and increasing prices of essential commodities like Onion, LPG gas and fuel etc' could be main issues which may come for discussion in the session.
Assembly Secretariat, which already got seven notices by the member under rule 130, one resolution was moved under rule 62. Four notices were given by the member under rule 101 to be listed for discussion on December 12 on the private member day.
Congress likely to cordon the ruling government for ''failing to supply free laptop to the meritorious students and after announcement of construction of 68 national highway Union Government did not start work of any new highway project.
