HP commits to develop sports infrastructure

Kangra, Dec 25 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Housing and Urban Development Minister Sarween Chaudhary on Tuesday said that state government was stressing on the development of the sports infrastructure so that energy within youth was manifested and used for the national reconstruction and to help in the eradication of drug and other menaces spreading among the youth.
Stating this after inaugurating a four-day state level football tournament at ITI Shahpur, the Minister said that the state government was giving a keen attention for sports in the state. She said that government was constructing beautiful sports complexes, sports grounds with multifarious facilities so that the youth get a place to exhibit their talent.
She stressed on the youths to be away of drugs and avoid living in isolation. She said that the youth should live with dignity and spend a holistic life. She said that the government besides providing cash prizes to the sports persons they are provided reservation in government jobs too.
